SERVICES OFFERED TO SENIORS AND OTHERS IN NEED

To necessitate the Volunteer Center’s services, a Town of Mount Royal resident must contact the coordinators and provide information in relation to their needs. Once completed, a coordinator will be able to properly allocate the center’s services. A designated volunteer will contact you the day prior to any appointment in order to confirm information such as the time and address.

MEDICAL TRANSPORT SERVICES

The Volunteer Center would like to provide all its clients with easy and comfortable transportation to any given appointment.

Our services are offered at a minimal fee:

Transportation within the Town of Mount-Royal:                       5$

Jewish Hospital - St Mary’s Hospital - Ville Saint-Laurent            

Outremont                                                                          10$

Downtown - Montreal General -  Seaforth Medical Building

Sacré Coeur Hospital - Thoracic Institute - Hôtel Dieu              15$

CHUM - GLEN - Lachine Hospital - Montreal Heart Institute

Maisonneuve-Rosemont hospital - Saint-Luc Hospital -  

Notre Dame Hospital - Westmount (Hillside, Sherbrooke,

These fees cover the cost of gas which fuel the transportation vehicles used by our volunteers. These amounts are subject to revision depending on the fluctuation in gas prices.

TRAVEL ACCOMPANIMENT 

One of our main goals as an organization is to provide a quality service reflected in the kindness and dedication of our volunteers throughout the trip from our client’s residence to their medical appointment.

FRIENDLY VISIT

If necessary, the Center coordinator will provide you with a volunteer who is capable of making personal calls and/or visits to its clients. These calls and/or visits may include such activities as friendly discussion, card playing, scrabble, short walks, etc.

The town residents may request these services at any time. Depending on the availabilities of our volunteers, we try our best to accommodate your needs. Short wait lists may ensue.
